CGA-Canada's Finance and Administration departments ensure the Association functions smoothly on a daily basis. The Information Technology department, with support from other departments within the Association, is responsible for developing and implementing major information technology projects.
CGA Online Portal Launched
CGA Online, the new Web portal for CGA-Canada and most CGA
provincial/territorial Affiliates, was in final development during the spring and summer of 2004 and was launched in September 2004. The portal updates and re-structures the Association's key Web content, as well as strengthens its Internet presence and highlights advocacy and public policy activities.
The portal is operated by CGA Online Services Corporation, a consortium formed and funded by various CGA Associations, including CGA-Canada. The purpose of CGA Online is to share content and Web resources, as well as develop and coordinate the participating CGA Associations' Web presence.
Content specific to individual regions can be accessed through the main page of the portal at www.cga-online.org or via existing Web addresses for CGA sites.

New Online Education Platform Unveiled
As noted in the Education section of the Annual Report, CGA-Canada has unveiled the edNET online management system early in 2004. PACE-level and Laurentian University courses for the 2004-2005 academic year will be available on edNET, and other courses will be added in the future. edNET is a joint development effort between CGA-Canada and the Canadian Institute of Financial Planners (CIFP).
