Financial Statements in XBRL Format
Important – please read the following before viewing XBRL statements
The XBRL version of the financial statements appears as raw data encoded in XML tags. The information you will see when you open this document will appear as a data stream – it requires a software program to render the data readable. It is intended for use by organizations equipped with software specifically developed to facilitate the selection, comparison and analysis of XBRL. While CGA-Canada does not endorse specific software for this purpose, examples of software solutions to render XBRL are available through Microsoft (www.microsoft.com) or Business Objects (www.businessobjects.com).
XBRL is an XML-based information format for the electronic communication of financial and business information. CGA-Canada is committed to maintaining its statements in XBRL because it has the potential to become the international standard for recording, storing, comparing and transmitting financial data and because XBRL increases the speed at which data is processed, reduces the chance of error caused by data re-entry, and allows users to automatically verify information.
