Financial Statements in XBRL Format

The XBRL version of the financial statements is meant to be accessed using software. If you click to open this document, its content will appear as a data stream showing financial data embedded in XML tags. Certain software programs are designed to facilitate the analysis of financial statements in XBRL format. While CGA-Canada does not endorse specific software for this purpose, examples of software solutions that can be used to read and analyze financial statements in XBRL format include ACL version 8.4 (or later versions) and CaseWare version 2005 (or later versions).
XBRL is an XML-based reporting language designed for the electronic communication of financial and business information. CGA-Canada publishes its financial statements in XBRL to show that it supports the Canadian and international efforts to make XBRL the international standard for recording, storing, comparing and transmitting financial data.
