Lorne P. Katz, CGA, has accepted the position of director of finance with Kinetics Modular Systems, Inc. in Concord, Ontario.
Charles Lau, FCPA, CIA, CFE, CGA, has been admitted as fellow member (FCCA) of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Anthony J. Maher, student, has recently accepted the position of auditor for the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission of Newfoundland and Labrador at its Grand Falls-Windsor office.
Hanif Maragh, B.Sc., ACCA, student, was recently offered an associate position doing forensic accounting and investigations work at LRTS Investigations Inc., a division of Low Rosen Taylor Soriano, in Toronto.
Xiaoling (Linda) Wang, B.Sc., student, was recently promoted to the position of supervisor, trust accounting and reconciliation group, with RBC Global Services division of RBC Financial Group in Toronto.
James K. P. Wong, FCCA, CPA, CMA, CGA, of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, has been awarded the certified fraud examiner designation. James is currently the principal project controller of Diavik Diamond Mines Inc., the second diamond mining company in the North.
