Your Next Move
It likely comes as no surprise that the neighbourhood you choose to live in affects your quality of life. The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation suggests a few questions to help you select your next neighbourhood. For example, “Can I use my car less or not at all? Fraud Awareness and Prevention
Protecting your money takes on added significance in tough times. March was fraud prevention month in Canada and plenty of information is available to help you avoid the fraud trap. The Fraud Awareness for Commercial Targets (FACT) campaign is an education initiative of the Competition Bureau that provides businesses and not-for-profits with details on scam techniques, what makes organizations vulnerable, and tips to spot phoney e-mails and invoices. Get the FACTs at www.competitionbureau.gc.ca.

Do Not Call List Problems
The Do Not Call List came into effect last September and is available to every single exempted telemarketer in Canada including: registered charities; political parties; newspapers; companies that have an existing business relationship with a consumer; polling companies, and companies that market to other companies. It is a handy list of more than five million working telephone numbers, which have been sold, leased, or given to at least two giant telemarketers outside of Canada, leaving many to wonder if registering for the list was the right call.
