SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTING OUTCOMES:
- Liaise with examiners, reviewers, course developers, and examinations editor on matters relating to development and review of exam and content coverage including blueprint requirements.
- Review exam blueprints during the development process to ensure consistency.
- Provide quick preliminary reviews of exams to reviewers on a broad basis looking for general composition of question types, calculations, and number of questions etc. to enhance the effectiveness of the review process.
- Conduct a preliminary review of exams to ensure all recommendations from various reviewers are disposed of by the examiners and approved by the primary chairs or academic reviewers.
- Provide a comprehensive quality control (QC) read and evaluate exam questions and solutions for correctness, accuracy, and appropriateness of content and difficulty level.
- Support examiners and primary chairs to resolve technical issues or issues related to exam content in the review process.
- Provide support to examiners during their exam marking whenever issues occur related to solutions, content, or pass rates etc.
- Communicate with examiners to formally dispose of student “complaints” on exams.
- Discuss content and exam issues with course developers, some of which may result in technical updates and/or for the next course updates.
- Review exams at the approval to print level when requested by the manager/ exam editor.
- Prepare exams review summary independently or in coordination with others for incorporation into the NEC reports.
- Research and provide supporting documentation for issues relating to Category 2 exams (such as questions, content, fairness, and similar question type exposure) for the NEC marks review subcommittee meetings.
- Provide QC read of NEC reports for over-all consistency of statistics.
- Review accuracy for links to exams and solutions before web-posting.
- Participate in the PA exams live-marking process by monitoring work flow and generating progress reports.
- Provide support to the exam team in the selection of competency statements for PA1 exam questions, and to provide related course topics.
- Complete the ATP (approval to print) process for all the PACE and Education level examinations. The ATP process is a quality control mechanism that ensures that all edit/technical reads and internal/external reviews have been completed and signed of. It also ensures that any related issues have been disposed of before approval of printing is granted.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge & Experience
- A CGA designation or an equivalent business degree with 3-5 years of experience in office administration and staff supervision
- Experience in curriculum development or examination would be an asset
- A proven ability to communicate information in the area of tests and measurement to examiners, reviewers and subject matter experts
- Demonstrated excellence in management of office systems, procedures, projects and budgeting
- 3 - 5 years working experience in an accounting/auditing and or business or academic environment
- Knowledge of relevant computer hardware and software

- A demonstrated ability to meet target deadlines, budgets and quality standards while under pressure
- The capability of anticipating difficulties, managing change, being diplomatic and solving problems to successfully plan and manage projects
- Ability to facilitate, motivate and lead other professional staff as well as external consultants.
- Self-starter, and able to work independently to produce high quality and standard works and reports
- Proven ability to develop exam questions and solutions
- Able to work under the pressure of deadlines so that works are produced within pre-determined timelines
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with examiners, primary chairs, academic reviewers, and course developers to discuss course content and exam issues
- Able to diplomatically resolve issues raised by examiners, reviewers, and our student customers
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in oral and written French is an asset
