Application Information
CGAs interested in applying for ACCA membership should follow these steps:
- Contact your local CGA affiliate office to obtain a letter indicating you are a CGA in good standing.
- Go to CGA’s PD Net at www.cga-pdnet.org.
- If you have not already registered, select "Register Now," and register in full.
- Select "Degree and Designations" from the top navigation bar.
- Under "Designation Partners," select "ACCA Designation."
- Print and complete the Application for Direct Admission to Membership form.
- Complete the Overview of UK Tax and Law course, available on PD Net:

Click “Professional Development” and select “Online Courses” (under “Filter by Type”). Click the title of the course or access the course by typing Overview of Canadian Tax and Law into the “Search” function. This will bring you to the course description page where the course can be purchased by clicking the “Buy now” button.

The cost of the course is $200 Canadian [plus 5% GST for those taking the course within Canada] payable by MasterCard or Visa only. Completion should take less than two days.

When you successfully achieve pass marks of 70% for each of the quizzes, print your Certificate of Completion. If a transfer credit (exemption) is granted by ACCA for this course, provide sealed transcripts from the post-secondary institution where the credit was completed.
- Mail the application fee, completed ACCA application form, Certificate of Course Completion and the letter in good standing to:

- Once the above information has been provided to and approved by ACCA, you will receive a letter informing you of your admission to membership and your right to use the ACCA designation.
