Questions about becoming an accountant?

Most provincial and territorial associations in Canada and CGA associations internationally are no longer accepting applications to the CGA Program.

If you are interested in pursuing a professional accounting designation, consider becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). The new CPA Certification Program is challenging, rigorous and rewarding, and designed to meet the needs of business, public practice and government. The program also meets or exceeds all International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) standards for education, assessment and practical experience.

If you anticipate immigrating to Canada, you should contact the provincial or territorial association where you hope to reside to find out about its registration requirements.
